More than two years after their breakup, Emilia Attias opened her heart on Hay amor, the Hispa program hosted by Nacho Elizalde. There, the actress spoke about how she navigated her separation from Turco Naim and what the disagreements were that led her to decide to put an end to the relationship.
The former couple confirmed their separation in mid-May 2024, after almost two decades together and a daughter in common. The news surprised their followers and, for a while, generated various speculations about the reasons that had led to the end of the relationship.
With time and a more reflective look at what happened, Emilia decided to share how she experienced that process and which situations were decisive for her.
The actress acknowledged that there were different misunderstandings and communication difficulties that had generated an imbalance within the couple.

“First is all the work of saying: ‘This happens.’ Until you find that your needs aren’t understood by the other person. And I’m not… I’m not condemning him for that, because I think he had every intention of wanting to understand me and he didn’t manage it. And he made complaints that I also couldn’t understand,” she recalled.
With a mature perspective and without the intention of generating controversy, Emilia made clear that it was a shared situation and that both faced difficulties in understanding the needs of the other.
However, she explained that the decision to separate was not impulsive. On the contrary, it took time, reflection, and several attempts to rebuild the bond.
“These are not decisions I take lightly and I gave them a lot of priority. I did everything I could, until I understood that there was no point of progress for either of us and I was the only one seeing it. And I had a daughter who was watching me,” she explained, referring to Gina.
