The love story of Rolando Graña and Giselle Krüger has just added a new chapter. After years together, a daughter shared by them and a civil wedding, the couple finally checked off one of their to-do items: to marry in a church in an intimate ceremony, surrounded by their closest family.
It was Giselle who shared the news on her social media. “Blessed be God for bringing us together on this path… We’re getting married!,” she wrote alongside photos of the celebration.
In the same post, the executive producer revealed a detail that helps gauge their journey: they have known each other for 16 years and have lived together for 13, while three years had passed since their civil wedding.
Rolando Graña and Giselle Krüger: a story born in the world of journalism
Although the couple’s relationship began in 2014, Giselle and Graña had known each other for a few years prior. The world of journalism was the meeting point and, over time, that professional bond transformed into a love story.
Giselle was studying journalism and working at Blockbuster when she first approached Graña. For a course assignment she needed to interview a renowned journalist and managed to contact him. The interview went very well, and that experience became the beginning of a relationship that, years later, would also have a strong professional dimension.
When Blockbuster closed, Giselle turned again to that contact. Graña was then News Director at América and she asked him for a chance. Thus she began working in the newsroom and, over time, became executive producer and one of the journalist’s most trusted confidants.
The couple managed to transfer that complicity to their work as well. On one occasion, Giselle even publicly shared how she accompanied Graña on his programs, while he joked about the particular dynamic they had behind closed doors.
“Behind that man… lies a beautiful soul”
Over the years, Giselle did not hide the admiration she feels for her partner. In an appearance on the program Vino para vos, she surprised by dedicating a few words to him while he was being interviewed.
“I want to tell you that behind that man, who presents the most terrible cases and delivers the hardest facts on the news, hides a beautiful soul, the one I fell in love with,” she stated.
In that moment she also highlighted his personality: “You are very generous and transparent. From the bottom of my heart, I hope you achieve your dream, finish the novel, and be very happy.”
Graña, for his part, had also spoken about the relationship and the change that came with finding a stable bond after previous romantic experiences.
“The balance must be made up of many good days. If I could go back, the only thing I would change is to reorder that balance,” he reflected. And he added: “If the balance shows more bad days than good, you have to change, you have to leave. Start anew somewhere else. With Giselle I have that balance. Our days are good.”
The arrival of Alina, the daughter they had together
The couple’s story was further strengthened with the arrival of Alina, their daughter, in 2018.
Graña was already a father to other children when he began his relationship with Giselle, so Alina’s arrival meant expanding a blended family.
Over the years, Alina also played a starring role in the couple’s most important moments. The girl accompanied her parents to their civil wedding and now again holds a central place in the religious ceremony.
The marriage proposal in New York
After several years together, in 2022 the marriage proposal arrived. Graña surprised Giselle during a trip to New York and she was the one who shared the news with her followers.
“My best friend proposed to the woman he loved most in his life. That is me. We’re getting married! I love you, Rolando,” she wrote then.
Alongside the announcement she also showed the engagement ring: a delicate design with two stones that form a small bow.
The proposal marked the beginning of a new stage for the couple, who a year later finally went through the Civil Registry.
The civil and the religious wedding that remained pending
In April 2023, Graña and Krüger were married civilly in a celebration with family and friends. Alina had a special role during that day and accompanied her mom in one of the most emotional moments.
However, the religious ceremony was still pending. Plans to hold it were postponed until finally, three years after the civil ceremony, the couple decided to carry it out.
This time they chose a much more intimate celebration, aimed at their closest family circle. Giselle shared some photos of the ceremony and especially thanked the parish that hosted them and those who participated in preparing the moment.
An intimate wedding to celebrate 16 years of history
For the occasion, Giselle chose a look specially designed for the ceremony. The outfit was crafted by Jorge Sandoval and was made entirely in satin, in a gradient palette ranging from chocolate to beige.
The design consisted of a corset, trousers, and a cape, an elegant and personal choice that moved away from the classic bridal gown. She completed the look with loose hair in soft waves.
But there was another special protagonist: Alina, who accompanied her parents to the altar in a long dress in pale yellow, with a softly veiled tulle skirt, giving her a princess-like air.
After 16 years of knowing each other, 13 years of living together, a daughter, a civil marriage and a marriage proposal in New York, Rolando Graña and Giselle Krüger finally fulfilled that ceremony they had pending.
