According to Vogue, Tallulah Willis chose for her wedding to Justin Acee a spectacular haute couture wedding dress specially created by Balenciaga and designed by Pierpaolo Piccioli. The piece required more than 700 hours of artisanal work and also carried a very special meaning: its neckline was inspired by a gown worn by her mother, Demi Moore, just a few months earlier.
For one of the most important days of her life, Tallulah Willis opted for a design that blended romance, theatricality and a deeply emotional undertone. The daughter of Bruce Willis and Demi Moore showcased a custom-made Balenciaga wedding dress, created by Pierpaolo Piccioli especially for her.
The result was a strapless column silhouette dress, crafted in silk satin with an imposing draped train. At the back, a large bow added a sculptural and feminine touch to the ensemble, while the veil completed the ethereal aesthetic that Tallulah sought for her wedding.
A wedding dress that took 712 hours of work
The piece required 712 hours of work in Balenciaga’s ateliers, including 405 hours devoted to constructing and altering the gown. The veil, for its part, demanded another nine hours of artisan craftsmanship.
One of the most special details were the hand-embroidered organza petals. Each was worked individually and then applied to the dress, in a process that took around 60 hours.
