In the framework of the Pachamama Day, designer Francisco Ayala, president of the Argentine Chamber of Fashion, presented a collection inspired by Mother Earth during an emotional artistic celebration held at the Paco Urondo University Cultural Center, in the City of Buenos Aires.
The proposal was much more than a fashion show: it was an interdisciplinary experience that brought together fashion, dance, live music, performance and visual arts, highlighting one of the most emblematic traditions of Latin American identity.
A collection that paid homage to Mother Earth
Ayala’s new collection offered a contemporary view of the richness of Indigenous peoples, their connection with nature, and respect for cultural diversity.
To this end, the designer worked with native Argentine raw materials, such as llama fiber woven on a loom and artisanal felt, reclaiming ancestral techniques and the work of artisans.
The garments also featured motifs inspired by the pre-Columbian iconography of the cultures La Aguada, Condorhuasi and Santa María, recreated through felt appliqués and hand-painted details. The result was a collection that fused identity, tradition and haute couture.
Fashion, dance and music in a sensory experience
The show integrated choreographic interventions and live music, turning the runway into a true stage production where the outfits dialogued with movement and art.
The overall direction was led by Nana Esker, while the fashion production was carried out by Malena Gandolfi.
The evening also featured musical participation by Yamila Cafrune, sound design by Adriano Mazziotti (Pivvo), and the visual arts showcase Alteraciones, by artist Mauricio Molina.
Choreographers Margarita Fernández Solo and Damián Saban, together with Ballet por la Igualdad, directed by Nana Esker, whose performers accompanied the proposal by integrating dance, performance and design in a show with a strong visual impact.

The event was organized with the participation of the Paco Urondo University Cultural Center, the Ernesto Sábato Cultural Center, the Ballet por la Igualdad, the faculties of Economic Sciences and of Philosophy and Humanities at the University of Buenos Aires, the Fundación Igualdad Pedro Paradiso Sottile and the Argentine Chamber of Fashion.
The celebration brought together artists, cultural leaders, fashion representatives, and institutions, establishing a space where contemporary creation dialogued with ancestral traditions and reaffirmed the value of fashion as a cultural expression capable of preserving memory, promoting inclusion, and celebrating Latin American identity.
