For over a decade, Paula Chaves and Pedro Alfonso built one of the most beloved love stories in Argentina’s show business. What started as a television game quickly evolved into a solid family, with three children, an unforgettable wedding, and numerous shared projects.
The story began in 2010, during “Bailando por un sueño”. Paula participated in the competition as a model and Pedro Alfonso —then known as “Peter”— worked as a producer behind the scenes at Ideas del Sur.
It was Marcelo Tinelli who started to play with the chemistry between them on camera. The jokes, the flirting and the famous television serenades led many to think it was just a gimmick for the show. However, as the months passed, it became clear that the romance was real.
Although they began seeing each other in 2010 and 2011, the couple publicly formalized their relationship in 2012, after going through some back-and-forth moments typical of the early years of a highly public relationship.
That same year they decided to take a further step and began living together. They even starred in the reality show “Concubinos,” where they showed what life together before marriage was like.

After four years of relationship, the couple walked down the aisle on October 4, 2014. They celebrated a moving religious ceremony at St. Patrick’s Church in the Colegiales neighborhood of Buenos Aires, while the reception took place in a hall in Tigre, on a day marked by heavy rain that did not dampen the happiness of the newlyweds.
The wedding brought together family, friends, and numerous figures from the show business who stood by one of television’s most beloved couples.
Even before marriage, Paula and Pedro had already begun building their family. Their first daughter, Olivia, was born on August 23, 2013. Years later came Baltazar, born on October 4, 2016, and Filipa, who was born on July 4, 2020.
Since then, both tend to share on social media various moments of everyday life with their children, showcasing trips, vacations, family celebrations, and scenes from their daily lives.
The crises faced by Paula Chaves and Pedro Alfonso
Like any couple, Paula Chaves and Pedro Alfonso went through tough times. Over the years they acknowledged having experienced various relationship crises.
In an interview, Paula revealed that they even spent a month living under the same roof but virtually separated, as a way to rethink the relationship and find balance again.
They also revealed that, for a time, they chose to sleep in separate rooms due to Pedro’s snoring, a decision they made simply to rest better and that never meant a breakup.
With dialogue and teamwork, both managed to overcome those difficulties. Today, more than fifteen years after meeting on television, Paula Chaves and Pedro Alfonso remain together and have built a family that often shows itself as very close-knit.
Besides sharing the upbringing of their children, they also worked together in numerous theater seasons in Villa Carlos Paz and recently reunited in various audiovisual projects.
