Far From Football: What Could Be Mauro Icardi’s New Job in Turkey?

7 July 2026

While continuing to be wrapped in various judicial and media battles, Mauro Icardi once again found himself at the center of attention for a completely different reason. In a new episode of Sálvese Quien Pueda (America), Yanina Latorre claimed that the footballer may have discovered a new source of income away from the pitch, by becoming an ambassador for a renowned cosmetic clinic in Turkey.

The journalist presented the information as an exclusive and offered a reflection on the football forward’s current professional status.

I don’t know if he’s retiring from football for good or if football retired him,” she commented, before revealing the details of the alleged agreement. She also clarified that she does not know whether the proposal came at Icardi’s initiative or was arranged by his representative.

“Now I understand why five days ago he’s been so aloof with me,” Latorre quipped, referring to the exchanges they had on social media.

What Yanina Latorre Said About Mauro Icardi’s New Job

The host also reviewed the footballer’s legal situation and said that he recently settled a matter related to alimony. “He paid the alimony debt last week. Today was the deadline to stop being listed as a debtor and to avoid the prohibition on leaving the country,” she explained.

According to her account, Icardi would return to Turkey on July 10. She also noted that he authorized his daughters’ travel, Francesca and Isabella, so they could spend a few days with their brothers in Milan alongside Wanda Nara.

Yanina added that the judge would have asked him to prove that he has a working activity in Turkey. She then explained that there are no football negotiations at the moment, implying that the forward’s sporting future is not yet defined.

According to the journalist, Icardi would have signed a contract as ambassador for a clinic specializing in hair treatment. “He went from earning around 10 million dollars per year to receiving between two and three million,” she affirmed.

Then she read part of what the contract would look like on air. “The company designates the ambassador as its official brand ambassador for the duration of this contract. The ambassador accepts the designation and agrees to promote the company’s brand, services, and reputation,” she read aloud.

“Now he is a brand ambassador. He’s an influencer,” summarized Latorre. She also claimed that China Suárez would have undergone treatments at the same clinic as part of the exchange, though she clarified that they were skin cosmetic procedures and not related to hair implants.

What Would His Obligations Be

According to the presenter, the agreement would have an initial duration of three months, lasting until September 30. Among the obligations Icardi would be expected to meet are visiting the clinic at least twice a month, generating content for his social networks, participating in advertising campaigns, and sharing promotional posts for the company.

Latorre even highlighted a clause related to the footballer’s conduct. “He must behave professionally and refrain from any conduct that could damage the company’s reputation and prestige,” she read aloud, adding with a jest: “This isn’t going your way, Mauro.”

For the moment, the footballer has not made public statements about this information nor confirmed the alleged commercial deal.
